Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Which tools are paid?
Sign PDF, Protect PDF and Unlock PDF come with Starter. Remove background comes with Pro, which also includes everything in Starter. Every other converter and editor is free.
Do the paid tools upload my file?
No. The paid tools work on your own device too, so your files never leave it.
Why is the price different in my country?
Prices follow average incomes, so they are lower where salaries are lower. Your billing country sets the price at checkout, and tax is added where it applies.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. DIYconvert converts everything inside your browser, so your files stay private.
Will a PDF stay editable when I convert it to Word?
Yes, for PDFs that contain real text. DIYconvert rebuilds paragraphs, headings, bold and italic text so you can edit it in Word. Choose “Exact look” if you prefer the pages to look identical to the PDF instead.
Can it put photos of pages in the right order?
Yes. Add all the pictures, even hundreds, and choose “Arrange by page numbers”. DIYconvert reads the number printed on each page, sorts them, and shows you the order with any missing or repeated pages highlighted. Fix anything by typing the right number, then create the PDF in one click.
How do I turn a WhatsApp chat into a PDF, with the photos?
In WhatsApp, open the chat, tap the contact or group name, then choose Export chat and pick Attach media (iPhone) or Include media (Android). Save the file it creates, usually a .zip, and add it here. DIYconvert lays the chat out page by page with names, dates, times and every photo in its place. If you exported without media, add the photos together with the chat file and DIYconvert matches them by name.
My photos are huge. Can DIYconvert make them smaller?
Yes. When your pictures are large, DIYconvert offers to compress them first: under 20 MB for email, small for WhatsApp, or balanced quality. You see the size before and after, and the PDF is made from the compressed photos. You can add pictures in several batches and new batches are compressed automatically.
Can it read all the text from a photo or a scanned page?
Yes. Choose Word or Text, then turn on “Read text in scans”. DIYconvert recognises English and Arabic text on scanned pages and photos and gives you editable paragraphs. It works best on clear, straight pages.
Can DIYconvert convert audio and video?
Yes. Turn MP4, MOV, WEBM and MKV videos into MP4 that plays everywhere, pull the sound out as MP3, make GIFs from short clips, and turn WAV, FLAC and M4A into MP3. It uses your device’s own video engine, so it is fast and nothing is uploaded. It needs a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari.
Why are a few tools marked “Not in browsers”?
AVI and WMA media use closed formats that browsers can’t read, and Amazon has retired MOBI. Tap one of these tools to see the quickest way to get the result you need.
Which formats are supported?
In: PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx, .xls, .ods), OpenDocument (.odt), EPUB, CSV, TXT, Markdown, HTML, RTF, JSON, XML, VCF contacts, ZIP, RAR and 7Z archives, WhatsApp chat exports, JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, HEIF, TIFF, GIF, BMP, AVIF, SVG, ICO, Photoshop (.psd), Illustrator (.ai), MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC and OGG. Out: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Text, CSV, HTML, EPUB, JSON, ZIP, JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, TIFF, BMP, SVG, ICO, MP4 and MP3.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Very large files depend on your device’s memory. A phone may take longer with PDFs of several hundred pages.
